I own this boot in the three available colors and after seven years of wearing the black ones regularly, I am replacing them. I love the fit and I normally have a difficult time finding a boot that fits my thin ankles snugly. The adjustable laces are perfect. Nice leather-not too thick so it doesn't feel uncomfortable around the ankles; not too thin so it doesn't look cheap.
The leather seems less than strong, I plan to oil the hell out of these regularly. I broke them in in Northern Cali in drought conditions and haven't oiled them since then (1 month) but at times I look at the cracking and think they might just crumble around my feet... Super fast break in, though, and they're comfy as hell (I'm an all day boot wearer - every day). They're beautiful and the laces feel strong enough. With lots of care I think they'll hold up for a decent time...
I love these. They are really soft. I bought the "wide" version, but they are still very narrow, but because they are so soft, I can wear them.
I wear these to teach high school art at least once a week. I am on my feet most of the day. After a bad break in the metatarsal my foot hurts when I am on it too much (every day at work). I have been on a mission to find shoes and boots that minimize this. This pair I rat the top of the list. They are roomy in toes with a lot of support to keep my foot from sliding forward.
Haven't worn them out yet. They're a bit big, not a bad thing. It's nice to have room in the toe area. Ordered heel & toe cushions, just waiting on those to wear them to work. They seem to be made well and look awesome.
