I ask a lot of boot: It must look stylish -- provide good traction on ice -- have not too high a heel -- be comfortable for walking and day-long wear -- waterproof is a plus. Reviewers commented that they run a bit large, so I ordered a half-size down at my normal width, and the fit is perfect. I haven't had a chance yet to test these boots in bad weather, but they deliver on style and comfort. Bring on winter!
I've worn these to work a couple of times. Granted, I have a desk job, but I'm up and around a lot of the time. I don't know if these would be comfortable if you are on your feet all day long. Maybe with some inserts. I put "fit as expected" because shoes like this usually fit me in the 8.5 size. I wear size 9 tennis shoes, but I size down for more dressy shoes if I don't want them to be loose. If you have wide feet, I don't imagine these would be very comfortable. These do make the clicking sound when you walk, but it's not unbearably loud, even on concrete. Overall I like them, so now it's just a matter of how long they last.
