I bought the larger size because reviewers said it ran tight, and I have wider rather than narrow feet, and it is a pointier boot. But I think I could have gotten a 6, as I am a true 6. I thought because I would wear them with socks it would be fine, but once broken in I think a 6 rather then 6.5 would have worked. They are great, lined in leather. Nice quality, they look like old fashioned boys' work boots. i really like them. They seem like they'd wear nicely. Nice coloration, as in picture, although more reddish than my computer shows. I recommend them. Loosen up the laces and they are not tight.
Fit like a glove right out of the box. I'm usually between a 9 and 9.5. I got the 9.5 in these and they fit perfectly with a pair of medium weight socks, which is just what I'll need to wear in fall/winter. Really beautiful, soft leather and quality craftsmanship Frye is known for. I'm super happy with these and will probably buy them in black soon, too.
These guys still put out a comfortable walking device. Shoe looks cool and is great for walking about in for most of the day. I am an executive in the construction industry and spend a lot of time on my feet. Shoes are light and mix well with jeans and chinos. Haven’t been approached by trendy millennials but am sure it may start a trend
I originally bought US 9 but it was HUGE. I normally wear 9 in every shoe brand so I exchanged them for 8 and these fit perfect. The shoes breath somewhat but they are a little hot. I use them mainly for riding my motorcycle and around the office. They broke in after a week or two and are very comfortable. The soles are thick and make me about an inch taller which is nice for a shortie like me to get my feet flatter on the ground on my ride. Overall these shoes are an awesome deal especially for the price. Would buy again.
I walk about 4 miles a day in these. I couple them with a pair of superfeet orange insoles and I am more than happy so far. I've gotten lots of compliments on them too. I was unsure about the canvas aspect but when I saw them up close I was a believer. They almost look like trainers from a distance, if not for the chunky rubber sole. I usually go though soles quickly so we will see how these hold up to the abuse.
