All in all, very satisfied with the waterproof aspect of these boots . I have also worn them in mild rain and have not had any problems. I do think that some people might think their feet are getting wet, but it might actually be their own sweat.
I have worn these boots through a trip to Iceland, hiking in the mountains, and out to the same mountains to hunt. At no time were my feet wet or sore and they were rarely cold. I am seriously impressed with just how waterproof these are, I have submerged them crossing streams or by stepping in a puddle and stood around in soggy mud or several inches of snow... they have never leaked in the 4 months I have been using them. I have not had them rub or found the souls to uncomfortable and the boots have never given me a blister. They were quite warm especially when walking and even through snow when the temperature was sub 30 (with wool socks), the only time my feet got cold was when I was standing stationary for about an hour in a pine forest at the top of a mountain in a snow storm when the temps were at or below the 20 degree mark.... and I think a second layer of wool socks would have probably fixed that. When I got to moving again they started to warm up though they didn't get completely comfortable again until I made it to the truck. Bring an extra pair of socks and these boots can handle any temperature you will likely elect to be outdoors in under most non arctic circumstances. Maybe pick something else up for the worst days of winter but for fall, spring, and most of winter these a great boot.
I have worn these hiking , over hundreds of miles and I believe they have another good year and hundreds of miles more in them. I was worried initially, having worn trail sneakers in the past, which were light and easy to wear. However I kept turning my ankles in sneakers with no ankle support. I was amazed at how light and comfortable these boots are! They have great traction and great support while being extremely comfortable! If and when they wear out I will buy the exact same ones again!
